Ohio DNR Wiper Picture

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by mrfishohio, Sep 3, 2004.

  1. What a pig! I saw that on there the other day. I did not see a size on it. Any idea?

I have never fished wipers. I would like to do so someday. I have heard that Charles Mill Lake has good numbers of them. That is fairly close to me. I may get a chance to give them a shot some day.

I don't know the size, it only shows the picture. I might be one of the 17+# fish that were caught. There was 2 caught the same week the new record was set, some guy had it ( the record) for about one or two weeks when a woman broke it. The woman had blonde hair, so I don't know if that's the fish or just a big wiper. I think the state record wiper in KY is 20# and striper is around 53# from Lake Cumberland.
