Looking at this record keeping area. Is that by legal means or strictly line and hook?? All of you know I bowfish the Ohio waters.

Hook and Line Clarence...the goal was to keep it in line with ODNR's book (for comparison sake, although we added a species or two that they don't recognize).

We weren't there when they caught em, so it's 100% on the honor system.

My suggestion is one of the following:

    1. PM the member with your concerns
    2. Catch one bigger, and post it
    3. Consider it for what it is...a braggin board.

This is 100% for fun, and we have no way of verifying the accuracy of measurements.

    Fishman Catch bait???

Verify it using common sense :D

I just think that it should be kept honest, granted thats what the "honor system" is all about.... then again we're fisherman so you know how that goes ;)

Scales and Rules don't mean anything. Look at carp during the spawn for instance. a 30" fish can weigh well over 40 lbs, even up to 60lbs! Each genetic strain of fish is going to be different from the next. It's like you and I. You can't look at the mom and dad and say that the kid is going to weigh exactly 8lbs and be 24" in length at birth. I caught a 30" walleye in 97 that weighed 13lb 9 oz. Later that same year I got one 31" that weighed only 7 1/2 lbs.

It's all for fun anyways :)

I agree Shawn. I just don't think the issue is that big, to accuse anyone of being dishonest in public. If it we're 10 inches and 30 lbs, different story.

I'm locking this up, as it will lead to nothing but contention. In the future, if anyone has an issue with a catch on the board, please PM the angler. That's the only person that can answer the where/what/why questions.
