Does anyone know anything about the ODNR facility by Gordon Park? Is it a headquarters? Why is there no fishing access, or IS there? Seems like a waste of PRIME territory right on the lake, especially this time of year for walleye. Someone told me hunting may be allowed there.

Picked up the paper this morning, John Kuehner's report on page B2 of the Plain Dealer answered some of my questions. This area is called Dike 14 and was made in the 1970's from polluted sediment dreged from Lake Erie. It will be open for public tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 22 and is billed as The Dike 14 Wildlife Fest. The last time this happened was two years ago. To enter the site you will have to sign a waiver because of safety concerns. I am going to try and go to this event and ask some questions.
