i am heading to the OBX in april, anyone do any good fishing there? any suggestions are appreciated....

  2. April is a good time. Weather is unsettled, though. Right down windy and chillie at times. But fishing should be great.

Frisco pier is great, but it's on Hatteras Island. No piers on Ocracoke.

You can get to some great spots on the Oregon inlet shoreline by driving on some dirt/sand packed roads without 4WD.

Hit the deserted beaches with a good surf rig with some squid and bloodworm. Use the small spots and croakers for cut bait. Flounders have been known to pancake that inlet.

I recommend a King Mackeral trip.

If you like to fish, you are hitting one of the best areas.

Watch the regs, they have a bunch of newer ones.

And I mentioned Oregon Inlet below, I really meant Hatteras Inlet. Hatteras Inlet is the north point of Ocracoke.
