  1. Women’s Steelhead Fishing Clinic
Ohio Sea Grant to host November/December at Bay Village
    Kelly Riesen

Kelly Riesen, Fisheries Extension Program Coordinator, Ohio Sea Grant, is on a mission to get the ladies interested and participating in Ohio's steelhead fishing. Kelly participated in a survey sponsored by OCBS and many other clubs to determine the success the Ohio steelhead program. The survey results we astounding. Click here to see D'Arcy Egan, Plain Dealer write up.
Kelly went on site on the Ohio's rivers interviewing fisherman and passed out questioners for several weeks and noticed while doing the survey only a hand full of women were fishing steelhead. Kelly is taking the first of many steps to follow, to get more women on the rivers. She knows her journey will not be an easy one, but is convinced women can and will catch as many fish as the guys.

If you are not able to attend this clinic, don't worry, there will be others to follow.
