We are suppose to be heading to Canada for our fly-in trip in a couple weeks. The rumors are that the boarder is not going to be open. With that being said we are looking at going somewhere in northern Michigan. Does anyone and any suggestions for a good smallmouth lake? Any advice is appreciated.

You can try Brimley bay off of Lake Superior. It is gorgeous and has had good walleye, pike and perch fishing over the years. It is a shallow bay that connects onto the big lake. I have been fishing their sense the late 1960s. Haven't been up for about 20 years though. If you google Chippewa landing of Bay Mills, it will have camping and a boat landing their.
Around the area is a really nice golf course and their is also a casino up their as well. It is a gorgeous area, just like being in Canada.
