I'm planning on doing some early morning/nighttime kayaking and want to make sure I have the required lights.
My kayak is outfitted with an anchor and trolley system. ODNR says an anchor light should be displayed at the anchor. Do you guys have any recommendations on anchor lights?

It also sounds like if I have a waterproof lantern I can forgo the red/green running lights, but I'd also like to hear recommendations for both.

Thanks!

Yeah i think you only need a headlamp/latern/etc. for a kayak not the lights required on boats... I probably break a ton of rules though so my advice might not be the best haha

Flashlight is all that's required to warn boats coming towards you ,it doesn't have to be on all the time. With that said I still use a white 360 light on the back though on lakes with motors. It's usually off on electric only lakes because of the bugs and I'm not to worried about getting hit by a boat only going 3 mph.
