Longtime lurker - 1st post

My wife and I had a great morning on Deer Creek Reservoir (Stark County).

Got on the water at 6:15 and fished until a little before noon.

We caught a couple throw back Large mouth, a ton of throw back crappie, one keeper crappie (it swallowed the hook and I hurt it), two decent channel cats and THEN my little Filipina wife caught this guy......

31", 15 lb. Flathead catfish. She is beyond happy and no matter what I catch for the rest of my life will never measure up to her "trophy".

I'm happy to live forever in her shadow

some of us will remember the little bait shop,an boat rental. there were musky in deercreek back then. about sixty years back.

Great catch! Thankfully my wife never liked fishing(even though she was a “natural” fish catcher!) She “Always” outfished me(I’m not at all unhappy she never wants to go anymore)!😄
