Check out the speed clinch!
There are a lot of them on there. I watched quite a few this afternoon. Newer thought to look there to learn knots.
Nice Video. Good Idea. I hated looking at those stupid pictures, lol.
Quick question. I always follow up with 2 square knots after the clinch. Overkill??
Thanks for the video. I'll try it next time.
I always use a Polymer Knot. It is in my experience the best knot for fishing. I have never broke my line at the knot since switching to the Polymer which always seemed to be a problem for me when using the Cinch Knot. The Cinch Knot is much simpler but I used to be a tournament fishermen and I'd rather spend the time on a better knot than lose fish later. Just my opinion!!
i always use the palomar knot also. it's the strongest and easiest for me to tie. for some reason over the last few weeks ive had a few broken by steelhead while fishing erie using 20# florocarbon leaders. im my experience the clinch knot will slip on larger fish. but it is a nice video.
I too have heard (i don't actually catch the big ones) that the clinch can't hold the bigger fish.
