  1. Back in Ohio from Miami and need to try something other then fishing.

I have a few basic questions
    whats in season right now?
how do you get a hunting license?( I am over 18 so do i just need to buy a license like a fishing license?)
What are the main species to hunt in ohio?
can you hunt in most state parks?

any general knowledge would be sweet.

i plan on eating what i hunt...not killing for fun

    Some answers for you.

    1) Nothing yet. Dove, geese, and squirrel will be in season soon. Sept. 1

2)No, since you are under 21 you must attend a hunter safety class before purchasing a licens. Unless you hunting license from another state or you have previously held one in Ohio.

3)Ohio is great for deer, squirrel, rabbit, dove, goose, duck, coyote, and turkey. At least that is what I hunt.

    4) I don't know if "most" is the right word but you can hunt in many.

go to Ohio Division of Wildlife home page for any questions you may have. It is a pretty good site.

  3. I believe coyote and groundhog are open year round but I guess that dosn't help if your wanting to eat your kill!!
  4. I kill for fun then eat it!
