I had been seeing these in Erie last year. Misfit and Z Fish came up for the day and we decided to try for them. A real challenge, especially trying to get the acorn to stay on the hook. That is correct, I said acorn! :D We only caught three of them and couldn't figure out how to clean them so I used them to smoke steelhead. :rolleyes: The bait shop said they are called Wuddenheds. :D

lol.i remeber that trip.they really are challenging.i think the reason we had so much trouble keeping the acorns on the hook,was zfish kept eating them.

Im really suprised my unique appoach of chumming for perch didnt come up.. LOL. Hopefully I'll get invited again this year at some point. Thanks again for the trip I had a blast. Misfit still doesnt let me live it down. :D

I honestly forgot about the chummin story. Guess I'll have to start a new thread to cover that. :p :D :)

hey Guys!!
First hand info here at ya's.
I know for a fact, that once you have one of them Woodenheads in the boat, you put the tail in your mouth and knaw on it and it will prevent the chummin process from begining.
