I was givin a foot powered minn kota trolling motor.... when he said i didnt have to pay him, now i understand why!!! No bracket to mount it... So anyone got a motorguide bracket or minn kota bracket lying around i can buy... or have a website i can pick one up off of?

Chech out Walmart. If you're talking about the bracket that attaches to the boat then your motor slides onto it minn Kota makes one that I use that is fifty bucks and works great

Sorry, I was confused. You said "Gator style" mount which is by MG only and you mentioned that you were looking for either a MG or Minnkota mount.

Do you know if the motor guide will fit the min kota shaft? That is what I'm worried about. Also do you know of anywhere that sells minnkota mounts?

I do not think so. Minnkotas are a little more stout than the MG's. I'd call Minnkota at 800-227-6433 and I'm sure that you can order one.
