Multi Species Night on the Maumee

Discussion in 'Northwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by fishingfoolBG, May 1, 2008.

  1. Hit the river for a few hours tonight. I had a old thunderstick bait still on from fishing the LMR River last weekend and decided to try it since the single hook reg is no logger in effect. Boy was it a good idea, landed about 15 WB, a LM, SM and a nice crappie. The LM was the biggest fish i caught, didn’t have a scale but was maybe around 2-3 pounds. It was the biggest one i have caught in the river. The crappie was the biggest surprise and im guessing was around 10-12 in or bigger. The WB were all over a pound and few had to be in between 2-3 pounds. I couldn’t believe the WB and crappie were hitting my 4 in thunderstick. Anyways overall i had a blast on the river, i love those days were you catch different species of fish. Ill post the pictures of the LM bass and a monster WB when i get them uploaded.
