Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by fishcoffin, Dec 15, 2004.

  1.  i have a 21ftboat with a 155hp V6 mercruiser I/O (I think)that has sat outside for 3 years, 1 year without a full cover before it sat i was told the block had s small crack in it and it was leaking a small amount of oil but the person never put the block back together and now it has some rust thinking about trying to have it fixed if anybody could give me some advice on what to mabey expect Thanks

  2. A cracked block? :( Not worth trying to repair just to have it fail again. There are boat junkyards in the Port Clinton area that may have the motor you need. You could also do a search on the computer.

Yeah, repairing (IF it can be done) is throwing money out the window. Sounds like an Erie boat, so don't take any chances with that out there.
