I'd think into tolhe lower 50s everywhere has dropped like a freaking rock
Fished pymatuning for Bass the last 2 weekends and the temp dropped 5 degrees from last Sunday to this past Saturday. Was around 58 and dropped to 53. Probably lost a few more degrees now. Couple days of sun will get things heated up again
By Saturday we should see temps in the mid 60s again

We fished Mosquito Friday for approximatley 6 hours for walleye, never caught a walleye. Fished north and south, used walleye harness with nightcrawler and minnows, we also used lures. We caught several crappie, small perch, and bass. Mosquito use to be a very good inland lake for walleye, the last couple of years has been terrible.

I have not caught a "Hammer handle" in at least 8 years.

I got one keeper there this season while crappie fishing the shallows. 18”er. For the last five seasons there I’ve only averaged one walleye per year. I don’t waste my time fishing for them there anymore. If the weather is nice enough, I go to Conneaut or Ashtabula and get some. A lot less aggrivating.

Average 1 18'" every 2 years, like in previous posts I would catch 8 to 10 hammer handles a trip in the 90's early 2000's!

I can remember fishing Mosquito and catching our limit in 3 to 4 hours and not keeping any walleye under 18 inches. We would also catch Norhern Pike while fishing for walleye, the last couple of years has been a no go at Mosquito for walleye. This year will be fishing Lake Erie more. Hopefully Mosquito will become a good walleye lake again.

Well here is a story for everyone. Used to fish north end on ice bouy line actually 2-5 shanty’s. Then one day you couldn’t park on the road that ends in water up there. I’d watch the same peaple walk on and off the ice three or four times in same day. Wonder why they would walk a mile off lake to come right back. Hmmm it’s a relatively small body of water can’t take the over harvest. It’s public everyone is entitled as the next we all pay the the money for a liscence and so on I understand completely. It is what it is those are all stacked fish no reproduction.

Many years prior
I've had the most luck for walleye on the ice, and at night. The walleye are there..it's just difficult to catch them during the day because so many people out there. Seems lots of people are using the same lures too. But I honestly don't bother the walleye when the weather is decent, I'd rather catch those pig crappies, LM bass and giant cats. Seems like a pop a pike or two every trip as well. This was from the other day. Just casting from a lil tin can anchored next to key areas where the species I was targeting were present. Had to figure out what presentation they wanted. Caught a bunch of 10-14" crappie. Two over 15". Bass was maybe 5lbs. Catfish was 12. Just took pics of the bigger fish. But no walleye.

My brother and I finally got our first trip of the year in today. I couldn't believe how many people were there for a weekday. There was a little wind when we got there but it didn't last very long so we used the trolling motor to keep us moving. We fished 2 different spots. The first spot was in 8-10 ft. We caught maybe 20 crappie but only 1 keeper so we decided to move. The second spot that we fished was 13-15 ft. We caught probably another 20 crappie in this spot but 10 of them were keepers. Both spots were on the south side. We were using Bobby Garlands and crappie nibbles. Color didn't matter much today, no one color was doing better than another. It was a beautiful day to be on the water. Biggest crappie was 15".
