Not to be “trite” l but if anyone is catching, they’re surely quiet abt it! Haven’t seen a Skeeter post for a long time. Same for Milton, Berlin. Many think posting a report will cause a mass exodus to a particular lake which will result in a decline in fish populations, where a brief mention like “I caught some walleye at Berlin on jigs and minnows” isn’t going to “deplete“ any lake, just that fish are getting active! Which is all most of us would hope for-or need to know. Then there’s the potential for dozens of nuisance “Messages” where people want “coordinates”! I have a few early spots on different lakes and keep those to myself but if I happen to have a good day, I will, at least, mention the lake/river.

Contrary to your comment, I remember a lot of Mosquito comments 2 years ago and one Saturday I couldn't even get under the bridge due to all the traffic. Once I did I stopped and counted 85 boats on one side of the causeway as I turned and counted, Thats what media coverage gets ya. I have the pictures.

USGS shows the water temperature at the spillway, being 40.82 degrees, they should be putting the nets in soon.

Wind and was whippin. Switched up the plans and opted for some scenic views at Pleasant Hill. Saw one eye caught. Water was dirty as ever. My BIL got himself a beauty channel cat on a creek chub. Gorgeous day to fish.

Hit the lake yesterday and it went just as we thought. Sucked ! Seems like most fish were in deep water so played with them on the livescope. Mix of crappie and gills and not a walleye to be found . Didnt try shallow but also didn't see much less than 16ft. That lake sure needs some help but it has gone through this before and will come back one day .

I think that, last year, they put the nets in, on March 15th.
Idk why I keep thinking April
Well now may be launching end of week, will see what mother nature shows us first!
Made the first trip of the year today, only boat on the water. Nets were in but was not able to get any in the boat.
