fished from 5pm till 230 am. started off real slow east of 43. we picked up a few in the trees then moved to the north end and fished a few bays.picked up a few more decent ones. it picked up around dark and was steady from then on. we ended up with over 40. most were 11-14inches, but probably got 15 over 14inches with the biggest being a tad over 18. all except one came on tubes and senkos.

  2. what kind of fish?

  4. Hey Johnboy good job on them bass.
Me and my son fished from 5pm to dark and caught about 8 or 9 bass mostly on bussbaits.I caught 2 on sencos but had a lot of misses and them dropping it real quick.I was fishing the 5in ones in watermelon and think there to big for Mogadore. Over the years un like other things in life, little is better at Mogadore. What do you think?

fish the 4"ers for the best overall results big and small bass. If you want incredible numbers, but almost all small ones, go to the 3"ers. I have never been comfortable with the 5"ers. My personal best days were on white salt and pepper 4"ers where I boated over 30 at Mog in a half a day (south end).

Johnboy likes the North end, but I don't have the luck up there like the southern end.

I like the 5inches some times, but to get the colors I like, you really have to search. I use the 4inchers the mostand do do the best on them. I supose it's mostly presonal preference.

  7. How are you fishing the senco's? I have just really started Bass fishing and I still have alot to learn, My biggest ever was 5lbs even on july 4th 1999 at luna lake in clinton.

I texas rig them with no weight. usually just cast them out and work them back on short pulls with a time in between pulls. while waiting in between pulls i make sure the line stays slack so it sinks on a free fall.

Huh. That's funny. I hate rigging them like that (Texas). I have never had much luck rigged like that. I rig them wacky style using a weedless Eagle claw size 2 hook. I skip them out to where I want them, let them fall, twitch a little and fall, retrieve etc. Very slow presentation.

  10. I Texas rig them with a 3/16 Tungston weight. Proof to the fact there is no one way to fish a given bait and catch fish.

the one thing I found that does matter when fishing them is to make sure your hook stays straight in line. the fish seem to like it to fall straight.
