I was fishing my home river in my hometown at the spot I have been going to all summer when I ws escorted by Middletown's finest out of the area and threatened with criminal trespassing(not sure what the difference from just plain old tresspassing is). This is not privately owned land, I have seen over one hundred people fishing there this year, and Gmr_Guy has even talked to a police officer while fishing down there this year with no problems. Catfishjohn, Ohiocatman, and Gmr_guy this was where we fished earlier in hte year together. According to the Miami Conservency district, technically it is tresspassing to fish anywhere in Middletown. When I asked how this can be, I was told that I should be prosecuted and that the police let me off easy with just a warning, and I was then hung up on. Does anyone on this site know of who at the conservency I should talk to about this and find out the real deal? I should have said that the police officers were professional in the way the handled the situation last night, even seemed sympathetic. The conservency district could learn a thing or two from them.
