Just wondering what you guys think is the best way to get a decent length of your fish without putting too much stress on it. I would like to get as close as I can but I know I do not want to be handling the fish too much or laying it on the carpet. Thanks

  2. I have measured marks on the swim platform on the back of my boat.

I was considering putting something on the side of my boat. Thanks for the input Steve.

I use a piece of 1/2 pvc pipe that I marked in 1" increments. While holding the fish in the water, I lay the pipe beside her and get the measurement that way. Only problem is you really need two people to get an accurate measurement.

  5. Like cuttem Jack i put 1 inch marks on a 60 inch section of pvc and filled it with spray foam. Put the marks and numbers starting from 28 inches from both ends. Measures 2 directions and floats you can buy one for twenty bucks i think i had the stuff to make one so i went that route.
