just wonding where someone can find good action for crappies in the spring
above the dam marinas and creeks 40 degres water temp or better
Other spots are out towards the lake in marinas if u can get permission or the toussaint and portage rivers also have some good crappie action. Go to the panfish section and look for russ who host midwest crappie. He filmed one show in a marina out there somewhere. Fun to watch.
Good luck trying to find someone giving up Honey holes. There was a huge blowup here last year when someone mentioned Turkeyfoot Creek.
There is a spot at turkey where you can get 40-50 fish in about 3 hours.
thanks for the tips hopefully will be down there when the weather warms up
Last year during the run while the eyes were slow i seen a guy come out behind fort megis wit a whole bucket full. He was fishing the slack water behind the point also there is a creek that runs into maumee back there as well he spoke of. Wit all the eyes in the river it was shocking to see all those slabs.
I thought some of the posters here owned that spot.
Some have grand delusions of greatness and believe that they own the river and everything in it. Ive seen some get so greedy as to Photoshop landmarks out of photos just to "protect" "their" river. People crack me up.
