Maumee eye run?

  1. Do you folks think for the most part that the run is over? I was thinking of going down Thursday night after work about 5pm. Is it worth even trying, is it just me or did it seem not that great overall this yr? Wheres the bass at? :)
  2. Although the Maumee walleye run is winding down fish are still being caught. Bluegrass Island seemed to heat back up after slowing down earlier. The Sandusky run is definitely close to being over. A majority of the Sandusky catch is now white bass and white perch. Historically the Sandusky run will produce the largest individual walleye, but is a much smaller run and tends to end a week or two before the Maumee. I would expect walleye to be caught in the Maumee through April, with the numbers declining steadily each day. The white bass haven't shown up in numbers yet in the Maumee, but should soon.
