Mercury made those. It should be a good motor. Just check it out real good. Any used motor could have problems and be the reason for the sale of it.

I have a '96 150/2.5 ltr. fuel injected, and have never had a bit of problems with it. I have lots of hours on mine and it still runs like new.

The Mercury/Mariner engines like that have a very good track record. Durable, good power and easy to care for. There are a BUNCH of the 115/120 engines running around on 18'-20' boats all over the East Coast and they are very well thought of.

They tend to be a tad noisy, but have good power and run fine. Mariner is basically the saltwater version of a Merc.
