i am putting a recessed trolling motor tray in my boat, and when i did, the carpet got real loose and is all crunchy when i walk on it now. so, im going to pull up the carpet, and reglue it, but i need to know a good glue to use. thanks, calyton haske.

My understanding is any of the outdoor carpet glue is fine. Maybe someone local has some leftover from a recent project? Hard to find all quantities of the stuff.

I just recarpeted my ranger. I used the marine carpet adhesive from west marine. Whats nice about marine carpet adhesive over outdoor carpet glue is the marine is applied alot thinner.

Which would make clean-up easier when u redo it in the future.

I've used the Loctite 300 Professional Spray Adhesive with great results.
Sprayed both the carpet and the deck portion separately, let tack,
then apply together like using a contact cement.

It's available at the big box stores and has held up well for years.
A decent solution for me when in a pinch.
