Mad River smallies Monday

Discussion in 'Southwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Walter Adkins, Oct 9, 2008.

  1. Tony and I went wading in the Mad for small mouth Tuesday. First off, the water is a little colder than I thought it would be at this time of year. We fished up stream with out even a bump on our spinners and jigs. When we made the turn back down we switched to tubes. We both caught a few in the 12" range and a 17" and 16" were also caught. The fish were a good deal thicker than their counterparts in the LMR. We have decided that we need to explore this section of the river more next year. Tony also decided that wading in short ended last month for him. :D
