Hit Lorain again today with Lewis. Took a while to get the big fish under the boat and then the darn wind came up and the large waves popped the anchor. We were unable to relocate the fish and had slow pickin's after that. We did manage a limit of nice fish and Lewis nailed a 14.25" fish. :)

Awsome fish! Are there any headboats that go out in that area for perch? I usually go out with Tibbles from Marblehead and they do ok but not nearly the size you get, I want to get into some of those JUMBOS. Great job.

Ron,

How was the water clarity? How deep was the mudline?

I've got my grandkids up there with me this weekend, I need to get them on some perch.

thanks

Lundy, the water clarity was no problem.
The mudline was near shore and seemed to be disapating.
39 fow due north of Lorain was the key yesterday.

Water was in pretty good shape on Wednesday. A little on the dingy side but could see pretty well down a ways.
We were out at about a 330 heading 1 mile out.

Thanks guys,

I'm taking the kids to Eastlake on Saturday. If we don't do any good we'll head to either Lorain or Vermilion for Sunday.
