Looking to Fish

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by dgfish, Aug 13, 2007.

  1. Hello all,

I am from NE Ohio and looking to do some fishing in central Ohio. My son is a freshman on the ohio Dominican Football team and I will probably be spending some time in the Cols area. Looking for some areas to fish relatively close to the college. Any help and tips woudl be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend Hoover or Alum Creek Reservoirs. Both offer a variety of species and both produce well, although Hoover can be tricky at times.

  3. Thanks for the help! How about any of the streams for wading?

Streams around here are pretty good if we had some more water, if you don't know the creeks you will spend most of your time looking for holes deep enough to hold fish, its that low. Pray for rain.
  5. Talk to Coach Nemith on the ODU staff...he's a fisherman. I work over at the school and he always tells me about all his ponds and all the bass he's catching.
  6. Thanks Cavedog. I'll have to talk to him...in fact, he's the one who recruited my son. He's been my go-to-guy when I've had questions so far.
