Looking for small lake walleye fishing

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by MikeOSU, Jun 8, 2004.

  1. I'm looking for small lake walleye fishing in the Northeast of Ohio. I've never fished any of the lakes around me(Piedmont, Berlin, Pymatuning, Milton, Atwood). Looking for some information on the Walleye fishing. Any help is apprecaited!
  2. Berlin, Mosquito have great walleye populations. Not real small lakes, though, manageable.
    Atwood holds some great saugeye.

LaDue has some walleye, but it's electric only, as is Nimisila.

Where abouts are you looking for and what type of boat do you have?

  3. I'm located in Jefferson county. I have a 18ft wooden boat made in Canada by a company called "Geisler Brothers". I don't know if you've heard of them. But they are located in Powason, Ontario. It's about 15-20 Minutes south of North Bay. I have a 80horse Mercury on it.
  4. Is Piedmont any good for Walleye fishing?
  5. Piedmont is great, but has a 9.9hp limit. Atwood has a 25hp limit.

Mosquito, Berlin, and Tappan are 299hp(unlimited)

Oh yeah, I forgot West Branch is unlimited too.
