    Spidey,
I'll have to do some checking. I have a buddy that is Mr. Mopar. He usually has Roadrunner parts stashed here and there. If he doesn't have it, I'll bet he knows where to get it.

You should switch to real racing, and go with GM, not Slo-par. J/K.

MoPar = Move Over Plymouth Approaching Rapidly or My Old Pontiac Ain't Runnin'.

Can't help with the hood, but the MoPar Nats are only a few weeks away. Someone there will have it. They'll want a small (or not so small) fortune, but they'll have it.

Thats the love/hate with swap meets, either you find someone cool who has one and doesnt want too much for it, or you find only one person who has it who thinks it was forged in gold. Any of you guys check out or go up to see Good Guys car show, its pretty cool even though its mostly GM. I would take a GM over sub-par any day on the strip IMO. (most GM's LOL.)

Line 'em up Viking. I have yet to see a stock rat that will run with a stock 426 hemi.

Actually, I appreciate any make, but prefer Ma MoPar for many reasons.

I will race you, what do you have to race me with and I will tell you what I will bring. Hypothetically, but what do you want to match up with me with?

Nick Wilson would be a guy to contact for your hood...if he doesn't have it he should know somebody that does....he's not big into sheetmetal, but he has alot of history with Mopars and parts. He builds Chrysler engines and the owner of Compu-Flow cylinder heads 330-722-7799. Very good chance he will be a vendor @ the Nats this year in the swap meet.

i miss my 2 birds, sold them both in 2004....'70 RR, B5 Blue, runnin' bird stripe, factory Air grabber hood and pistol grip 4 speed 383 w/a 355 screw out back....all stock rollin' on 15X7 ralleys.....'71 RR, B5 blue, factory air grabber hood, chin spoilers, pistol grip 4 speed 440...+.30 w/a big roller cam, 5.13 screw w/spool...all steel goin' 11.80 @ a buck sixteen in qrt......WHAT A RIDE!!

Thats weak around where im from. When you say line em up you better have a car you trailer in. My dad's 57 chevy Bel-Air was 590 hp, 521 is good but not anything to talk big about. My buddy owns a motor shop and he races his camaro that pushes 1200hp no thats not a typo, so anytime you want to put that 521 against 1200 let me know and I will call him.

Viking you can't bring a car to a race that's not yours man, What are YOU rolling in? Do you even have a fast car, who cares what your uncle brothers buddies Dad has, or your buddy whatever, this guys car is his.

I'd go GM myself if I built one.:D

Hahaha yeah I have something to race in it's a 1979 Cutlass Supreme 455ci, thats all im gonna say, I work on cars at my dads shop so its well set-up but at the same time still in progress. Oh yeah and it's fast. Sweet ride APD1088. I am not calling anybody out I said what would you have to race me, I wanted to see who has a muscle car on here. His 66 would beat my Cutlass right now, I just recently got my cutlass. I do the work on my cars myself so honestly even if you made a joke about my mother I wouldnt race you because I have too much time and money in my cars to possible mess up an engine. I work for my dad like I said, but im going to the Police Academy in March. I dont make a ton of money because I am young and not in my career field so I dont sink a lot of money into my machines yet. I also have too many cars, I have two 1963 Buick Electra's both 225 2 doors, 1979 Cutlass Supreme Brougham, then my everyday driver 92 T-Bird, Im not a fan of fords but my uncle gave me a good deal. I just recently sold my first car it was a 1984 Buick Lesabre Limited 4 Door, I loved that car rhode like a dream. Nice care Monte433, I have a great respect for the people who have suped up old muscle cars, because you think anything built in 66 wasnt light so it would take some ponies to make that baby fly. Any good stories from anyone on here about there cars or how they got them?

    Viking,
I admire you for the truth that you speak. You can't challenge with a car that ain't yours. If we are gonna go with non-street legal vehicles, I can definitely up the anti. I can't go to 1200 HP at the wheels, but there is a toy to be tapped yet.

But that is all immaterial. I retired from law enforcement, and applaud you for going into that field. It is definitely a job that wil not make you rich, but will make you always interested. Someone once told me if you find a job that you love, you will never work another day in your life. He was right!! My job in law enforcememt was truly a joy! Just remeber Viking the two most important things are: I AM going home tonight and Where's lunch.

    Good luck.
    -Brian

You have my respect, that is a nice machine. One thing I have learned at a young age is finding parts for the older cars is not an easy task. Especially cars that arent the most popular, like corvettes, chevelles, mustangs, Chargers etc.etc. My Buicks have been a major pain finding parts for.
