Is it up?

How much rain does it take to make it muddy?

I bet it's brown.

On a scale of 1 to 39, would you say it's

1.) auburn
2.) beaver
3.) beige
4.) bistre
5.) boie
6.) bronze
7.) buff
8.) burgundy
9.) burnt sienna
10.) burnt umber
11.) camel
12.) chamoisee
13.) chestnut
14.) chocolate
15.) coffee
16.) copper
17.) desert sand
18.) earth yellow
19.) ecru
20.) fallow
21.) fawn
22.) khaki
23.) lion
24.) mahogany
25.) ochre
26.) raw umber
27.) russet
28.) rust
29.) sandy brown
30.) seal brown
31.) sepia
32.) sienna
33.) sinopia
34.) tan
35.) taupe
36.) tawny
37.) umber
38.) wenge

or

39.) wheat?

The fish are wild for Wenge!

Note: The numbering system I just gave you is 513's Fabulous LMR Clarity for Charity Scale for Kids who don't Read Good but Type Real Nice Like, or 5FLCFCSFKWDRGBTRNL for short.

Use it wisely compatriots! And use this thread to post pictures of the river that correspond with said corresponding numerical nomenclature.

I'll get this party started.

Come with me party people, and embrace "Toasted Topaz".

It is in alphabetical order, not by degree or shade. I think I’d rather go by the beer color scale, of course clear would be off the scale at a 0 (Corona Light or something like that).

I was thinking of a hottie scale from Nicole Kidman thru Shakira to Halle Berry all the way to Kelly Rowland.
I think somewhere around Salma Hayek is best for fishing, a bit of color so your line doesn't stand out so much but clear enough they can still see your lure well. Or maybe I just really like Salma Hayek...

Never criticize a gift scale in the mouth.

Last night's raw umber was tremendous.

No, really.

Well according to the latest theory:

a = b
a^2 = ab
a^2 - b^2 = ab - b^2
(a - b)(a + b) = b(a - b)
a + b = b
b + b = b
2b = b
2 = 1
Another "proof" that "proves" any two water clarities are equal:

Let a and b be any two distinct (unequal) water clarities.
Let c be their average, so that a + b = 2c.

Multiply both sides of the equation by a–b to obtain
a^2 – b^2 = 2ac – 2bc.

Add b^2 – 2ac + c^2 to both sides to obtain
a^2 - 2ac + c^2 = b^2 – 2bc + c^2.

Both sides of the previous equation are now perfect squares and the equation can be written
(a - c)^2 = (b - c)^2.

Take the square root of both sides; then
a – c = b – c

from which it follows that a = b, contrary to our initial assumption.
And thus wenge is, in fact, just a good a water color as sinopia

or to put it another way Shakira is as hot as Alicia Keyes

or Michelob Ultra tastes as good as Imperial stout
