  1. Started fishing @7:30 am, working my way up river fishing the tailouts and heads of riffles. Water was stained from rain on Friday, but very fishable. Dead drifting nightcrawlers C/R'd 12 smallies between 8" and 12", all very chunky, healthy fish.

Rig was double barrel swivel with 12" leader and #2 hook. no split shot, just lob it out and let it drift, fish will hit anywhere along the drift although watch as the crawler swings out below because they will slam it and you end up with nothing but the bit of worm on the hook left.

Was overcast and air temp of 57 when I started, rained hard for about 20 min starting at 9:30, had to take cover since I didn't have raingear, but the fishing held up after it stopped raining. Sun came out around 11:00, Off river by 11:30.
