Livewell Paint ???

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by smallie75, Mar 18, 2008.

  1. Finishing up a rig in which I chose to make my own live well instead of a cooler type set up. I built a wood box and fiberglassed the inside. Now I'm thinking of putting a top layer of paint over that. My question to everyone is, what type of paint is the best to use? Maybe a marine paint, but I was curious about the toxins in which will not cause harm to the fish in the well. I can go without the paint, but I feel it would be better then not. Thanks for any advice!

  3. No paint. leave as is.

  4. If you insist on painting it, use a non-toxic pool or pond paint.
