Ordinarily I'm fly rodding carp in backwaters and mud flats, looking for tailers. A few times a year I go up to O'Shaugnessy and target them up there, I'm sure some will recognize this area. :)

Hooking them is the easy part, getting them out of the rocks, wood, and concrete pilings is a chore!

Great video. I would if having a foot controlled rudder would help, or may one of the Hobie Mirage (pedal power) kayaks. What kind of camera are you using?

I have been thinking about getting an HD keycam off eBay and attaching it to a hat to get similar footage from the bank. I have seen video of RC pilots using this technique on youtube and the footage is very clear. It would also be cool to attach it to the rod and watch the tip bend throughout the fight. Or attaching it to the rod and pointing at the top of the reel to the drag peeling shot.
