Leveler Removal

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by reel, Jan 9, 2005.

  1. I have an old Sears 3.0 HP outboard that I am thinking of installing on the transom of my 16' aluminum Starcraft for trolling.

Problem is that one of the levelers (flap, trim tab or whatever they are called) is in the way.
As I understand, the levelers are only used for keeping the bow down in rough water or to adjust for unbalanced weight in the boat.

Would there be some unforseen problem if I removed just one of them ?
