I seem to have a lot of luck fishing any other state than Ohio. I fished hoover for bass twice early summer this year and caught one crappie and had a bass hooked in the weeds until it spit me. That is the extent of my luck this year. I will prob get to take the boat out one more time this year and would like to end on a decent note. Any advice on which body of water to take on? I only have a Lund with 9.9 so I can't cruise with any intentions of getting anywhere fast.

staying close to shore up on lake erie can be productive this time of year. smallmouth reports have been good. steelhead are starting to move to the river mouths. walleye will be cruising for shad close soon too. pick your day carefully though and don't go far with a 9.9.

I forgot to mention I want to stay local. I would like to hit Hoover, alum, Griggs, ect and be home by 1:00. That's the only way my wife stays happy. My trips are your guys normal weekend.
