I remember a lake in FL that had alot of hydrilla weed. We could stop the boat on top of it and fish. It held us in place. I still have a shroud I bought for my trolling motor.

I dont bass fish much these days, I do know its good & fun to fish bass in them, But wasnt sure how much of it in a shallow cove is good or bad & are you saying The fishing will Rapidly Decline After being good for a while ?if you bass fish, it's a godsend. numbers and size will increase dramatically. when the inevitably nuke the lake like mosquito, fishing will be good, but will rapidly decline.
Gotcha Makes sense nowHe's saying if they treat the lake initially when all the weeds die off, fishing will be good, but then with lack of weeds fishing will decline. Essentially when you have a lake full of weeds it's tougher to fish but lots of places for minnows, fry to hide, mature, but when they inevitably over treat "nuke" the lake, the lack of weeds becomes a detriment and poor fishing follows. After a brief period of good fishing that came from the benefit of the weeds and easier for fisherman to reap what the weeds provided without their presence with the initial treatment.
Ill be there next week But not in my boat 😂take some to saltfork
Not sure I dont fish that lake. Heard they had it bad there! Not derailing, same topic dif lake any updates on Indian? And is the weed problem end up in a toxic algae bloom, or is it just puking props & lowers
It was explained well. Weeds are a double edge sword for sure. not fun to fish, but the fish love them.I dont bass fish much these days, I do know its good & fun to fish bass in them, But wasnt sure how much of it in a shallow cove is good or bad & are you saying The fishing will Rapidly Decline After being good for a while ?
