Lake Hodgson ??

is this lake a pay to fish and if so how much per day and boat rentals sizes cost any info would be nice I have a friend that lives near the lake and is handicap does like to travel far

Yep it’s a pay lake, should open April 1 , depending on weather. Don’t know this years prices yet. Can get a daily or seasonal gate pass. Come and go as u want with the season pass. Some shore access. Does get weedy during may making shore fishing hard. Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Stop at cabin after the first to get the fees.

what was last years fees so I have a idea of what to tell him the phone # is disconnected (maybe city didn't pay the bill LOL)

You’ll have to stop at the cabin at the entrance after 4-1 and check the prices. But here’s last years.

Westbranch also has a handicap accessible fishing pier, real nice, stairs or sidewalk to get to the pier. Benches ,and crappies right under the platform. Some musky and cats caught their. Next to the marina ..

Found a fish with teeth tonight but only one. Temp was 40 and stained as usual, 9'. He was full of milt and shared it with me🙄. Hoping he was a scout and not the last one to the dance.....

I won't be surprised if they quit renting boats.
Not much activity there since covid. I hit it once or twice year and never see any other boats.
Maybe things will change this year. I know they quit stocking Trout opening day.
No more Tourney's either. But it's always been good fish'in hole.
Very little pressure.

He always charges me 5 bucks.

Last year they were renting boats, and they had a few canoes. Pretty good fishing but does get weedy fast. Maybe more this year with this mild winter and not much ice. Have to stop in after the first and find out new rules this year.
