There is benefit of logging and/or selective logging. Across the line in Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has been logging large tracts of state game lands for years to increase under growth and browse.

Likewise, how many hunters have sat on a pipeline or power line during deer season?

Yes fracking or logging needs to be done in a manner that is mindful to the environment. But the reality is we use electricity and natural gas, and alot of that electricity comes from gas powered plants. That gas needs to come from somewhere.

Oh, and Canada produces alot of lumber and natural gas. They just have alot of land and alot less people.
