Spent the morning at Ladue with one of my fishn buddies and only one fish to show for it. Very windy making boat control difficult. My buddy caught the pictured slob on a white spinnerbait off a 7ft flat near the dam. I missed a few short strikes and that was it. Tried to fish offshore ledges. Marked many nice hooks stalking the bait balls but /i failed again to connect. Impossible to fish structure today due to the high winds. Even tried anchoring and the wind still made it difficult. That one fish stiill made it worth it. He said it was the biggest bass he ever caught out of Ladue. To bad the batteries were dead in my rapala scale. I wanted a weight on it. Lake levels are dropping more but the alage bloom did not seem as bad. Surface temp 74 degrees.
