Kokosing Fishing And Bike Trail

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by PITCHNIT, May 22, 2007.

  1. My son and I are planning on biking the Kokosing trail sometime soon. Is there access to the river along the trail to wet a line? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  2. There is lot's of access along the bike trail. Some of the trail leaves the river for awhile, but alot of it parrallels the river. There is a parking lot at the corner of 229 and 308, there is one on lower gambier road-both of these provide plenty of river access along the path.

take plenty of spinners, small floating rapalas and some 2-3" tube baits

  4. Is there a boat ramp for the river? I was thinking of going this weekend.

  5. There is no boat ramp as the river is too shallow for "trailered boats". It is ideal for smaller flat bottom jon boats and canoes. There is a canoe livery at the Kokosing Valley campgrounds at Millwood which is on St. Rt. 36 east of Howard.

Here is the link to the Senic trail map from the DNR site.
