Fished the east side of Kelleys all day Monday. Tried the clearer water on the east side, though there were few marks. Stuck with a slow pick of very nice fish. About 35 ft of water, bandits 50-80 back at 1.2-1.5. White color was the key with fruit dots and red head taking most of the fish. Several came from one small school we worked, though most came when circling around. 18 walleye and one steelie for 4 guys.
Started Tuesday on the east side and only picked up a couple using Monday’s program. Moved to a mud line North of Kelleys and picked up a few more in 42 ft of water. Bandits 70-90 back, with faster speed 1.4-1.7. Fruit dots and red head colors again. Bite stopped so we went prospecting to the NW corner of Kelleys and found another mud line and decent marks. Trolled in and out of the mud line and finished our 2 man limit with fish on the mud side, Bandits 40-60 back, slower speed of 1.1-1.3. Fruit dots, red head, and blue chrome all took fish. Beautiful day on the water. Short sleeve fishing in early April!
