Anyone use these that may know the depth the medium size runs on different lengths of line let out?

Yea they suck if it is rough. They will not stay closed and have to be reset constantly. I tried to move the magnet to get them to stay engaged, than they wouldn't release when fish were on. You had to fight the diver and the fish all the way to the boat.

I gave them away after the first trip. Sorry I can't help with set backs.

Stay with the tried and true Lure Jensen Dipsie Divers.

The medium will run about the same as a "0" dipsy with ring and the large about the same as a "#1" Dipsy with ring. If you have it set out at a 4 or 5 of course it will not run as deep. I don't use them as much as regular dipsys, but have never had problems. Sometimes it is hard to adjust the magnetic trip. My one partner traded me all of his Kastaways for Dipsys. I have two other friends that the Kastaways are all they use.

I found a depth chart that came with my Castaway Divers while cleaning up my tool and tackle storage in my basement. It doesn't give a line test. You can also check www.kastaway.com for info.

Standard 3 5/8"

Setting 1 Line Out 75' equals 30' deep, 125' out equals 40'
deep, 200' of line out equals 50' deep.

Setting 3 Line Out 75' = 26' deep, 125' out = 35', 200' out = 40' deep

Setting 5 Line Out 75' = 20' deep, 125' out = 30', 200 out = 40'

Hope this helps. Bob Y.
