FINALLY had a small break in the weather, light south winds and not much rain in the forecast. 4 of us headed out about 10 am to perch fish, set up about 3/4 mile NW of Green Island. Only 2 of us fishing, fishing was slow, fish were mostly small, managed 23 perch in about 3 hours. Wind DIED and it got hot, so we trolled north towards a point west of Rattlesnake. Picked 3 walleye, 2 were keeper eaters, one too small, plus several white bass. Got em on 30 jets 50' back, one on a large gold hammered spoon (thanks again Chip!) and the other on a small Poo Bear purple spoon. Only trolled about an hour, 2-3 pm, then headed home.

Water was pretty well stained most of the way out to the Islands, cleared up as we got up to Green. Saw first signs of algae blooms in the water, afraid it is coming, especially in light of all the rain and runoff.
