Island Fishers?

Discussion in 'Northwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by toledoeyebanger, Apr 14, 2008.

  1. Crossing the bridge earlier today I saw a decent crowd fishing off the island. The maumee tackle website has shown crossing to the island as not possible since the latest rain, so what gives? Are the dudes fishing the island seven feet tall? As I understood it, you could be ticketed or liable for rescue costs if you went to the island during "dangerous" conditions.

  2. Boats ,,,,,,at your own risk

  3. For sure they got there by boat. Water is 583.5' this AM. No way they got there on foot.

They had to pluck guys off of there on Friday evening. Dumb..just dumb. I fished at the Fort for 2 hours and the water came up about 6" in that short time on Friday evening. Glad I'm tall, that's all I got to say. Plenty of guys got wet as they tried to cross back during the storm.

  4. I know an idiot that crossed in waders at over 583 a few years back. He will not be doing that agian any time soon.

  5. Randy does this 'idiot' wear a stinking blue queer jacket?

  6. I will plead the fif.
