I am pretty new to fishing Cowan and it appears if I am reading the map right that access by bank is pretty scarce on the north side, but pretty decent on the south side of the lake. I am wanting to get near the dam on the north side, but not sure how to do that. Any advice. I assume I need to get across the tailwaters somehow. I am in search of the allusive crappie and believe I need to get to deeper water, but have no boat access. Thanks for any hiking /trail access you can give me
