I get it. It's hot. Water was 75 this morning warming to 82 in spots by mid afternoon. Fished all day between the lodge and the dam and had two dinks to show for it. The lake seems to lack an abundance of obvious structure. There are a few main lake points but the predominant structure are bluff walls and ledges. Is ledge fishing the key to this lake? There are a ton of large timber lay downs but none were productive today. Any tips much appreciated

You found the structure but the problem is that you are trying too hard. Hit a creek and siene up some good sized suckers. Then when you do that stop at the store and pick up some beer. Now if you combine the first three sentences and then add anchors and bobbers that's all that you have to do.

Structure + big suckers + beer + anchors + bobbers = burr oak bass

Or put differently, the trick = live bait.
