This bridge is half under the water, for ships to pass and then again, it comes out on the other side. Truly a marvelous piece of engineering! This bridge is between Sweden and Denmark ... Picture taken from the side of Sweden. The bridge (or should it be called tunnel) goes under water to allow movement of ships.
That is a great picture. There is a tunnle kinda like that in Virgina that is pretty cool to drive through.
Yep, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is 21 miles long. It connects from Cape Charles, Virginia down to Norfolk via U.S. Rte. #13.
I seen one on discovery channel over around that area. It was a big wheel that connected a river on a higher elevation to a river down below, moved ships and all. Belive it was on Modern Marvels
