input on rods i´m planning to buy

  1. Hi guy´s i need your input on some rods i´m looking to buy .
    DAIWA HEARTLAND HL-D-962HSG 9'6"
    I´ll be using them trolling both with big boards& inline planers
    I will use them both for Zanders& Browns,Salmon
    Any input is appreciated

    I had a pair of them and didn't care much for them. They were too stiff to me (even for Dipsys), and were too bulky down by the reel seat. The length is also too cumbersome in a small or medium sized boat.

    I would think that for the two applications that want to use them for, a more limber rod would suit you better.

    There are rods that would suit you better for about the same price.

    This is only my opinion.

    They are a little long for your application. I use those rods in the #2 position on each side of my boat for dipsey's. 8' rods would be much better.
     
  4. Ditto to what steve said !! but if you change your mind on the daiwa's i have 2, model no. HL-S D962HS-G, I paid 30.00 each i will sell for 40.00 for them both, u pick up. a little dusty and a couple of scatches on them but in great shape. to long for my boat.
     
  5. LOL! I don't think he is going to come all the way from Sweden to save $20. Though it would be a good excuse to travel. :D :p
