Inches to pounds

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by RWBlue, May 19, 2005.

  1. How many inches of fish = a pound of fish?

I know it varies by species so: How about Catfish, Crappies, and Bass?

do a yahoo or google search for estimating fish weight.there are sites with various info for different species.most are calculated by length and girth, and some by length only.

  3. Here is a weight calculator that will figure it for you. You need the girth of the fish in addition to the length for any calculator to work right. Hope this helps.
