    We did that too!

    Or when a Frosted Flakes commercial came on we'd grab our box and wave it at Tony Tiger, saying "We already have some!"

    Somewhere I have a pic of my Bil working the "remote" which was wired to the Qube cable box (in Columbus). That was the first interactive system where they would run a quiz or something and you could press buttons to respond. We won a Rolling Stones album.

    I can remember as a kid, when the TV would start to go on the fritz my Dad would unplug it, take the back off and pull all the vacuum tubes. Then off to the drugstore we'd go with a paper bag full of tubes to put on the tube tester. Any that read "Bad" or "Gas" were replaced.

    I remember those tube tester machines. They're all crushed in landfills now.
