I would like to buy a gently used set of PLASTIC, collapsible type planer boards. I have the wooden, fixed style now and they're a pain to store on a smaller boat when not in use. Thanks for the help guys!!!!!! -Gabe :B

It is not too terribly hard to make your wooden boards collapsible. Dad changed his over fairly quickly...and for a few bucks worth of hardware. Deffinately cheaper than buying another set. Only reason I have a set of plastic collapsible ones is they came with the used Big Jon mast I bought off Ebay last Spring. Already had a set of wooden ones I was going to modify myself.

  5. Had the plastics. (riviera) They will tend to lag behind the boat far more than a good set of wooden boards. Just won't dig in like a good pair of wood boards. Check into making your wood boards collapsible.
